NWPMA x Project 48 Fall Show Giveback Turning promo products into practical support for youth entering foster care.
NWPMA is proud to partner with Project 48 for a special Fall Show giveback campaign. Project 48 provides essential bags to youth entering foster care, helping make sure young people have basic items like a backpack or duffel, clothing, hygiene products, and other essentials during a difficult transition. Every day, our industry puts backpacks on shoulders, apparel on bodies, and essentials in hands. These are the exact products foster youth need most, and no industry is better built to deliver them. Support the campaign in advance or bring donations to the show in Portland on August 19. About Project 48 Project 48 supports youth entering foster care by providing essential bags filled with the basic items many of us use every day. These bags help young people feel seen, supported, and cared for during an incredibly difficult transition. Project 48 serves youth ages 7–23 and has reached thousands of young people over time through essential bags, life skills programming, holiday support, and culturally responsive care. Meet Project 48 NWPMA President Nicole Stachowicz sat down with Jessie Fox from Project 48 to talk about who they serve, what goes into an essential bag, and how the promo industry can help support youth entering foster care. Why NWPMA Is Getting Involved The promotional products industry is uniquely positioned to help since we already make, source, and distribute the products Project 48 needs most. This campaign is all about putting our products to purpose. Whether you are a supplier with product inventory or an attendee who wants to bring items to the show, there is a way to get involved.
What Goes in an Essential Bag? Essential bags include everyday items like clothing, shoes, hygiene products, hair care items, and a backpack or duffel. Project 48 serves youth ages 7–23, so donation needs range from kids’ sizes to adult sizes.
